Modification<\/strong> - Technology changes the learning experience. For example, writing on a blog and the reality of an authentic audience gives students a different understanding about writing and a different stake in the quality of their work.<\/p>\n\n
Augmentation<\/strong> - Technology enhances the learning experience but does not fundamentally transform it. For example, an online quiz that provides immediate feedback may result in students becoming more engaged.<\/p>\n\n
Substitution<\/strong> - Technology is used to perform the same task as was done before the use of computers. There is no functional change in teaching and learning.
